Humans generate so much trash!
The trash has been piling up around here again since the old man's car broke down. Buffcat says that in the city, humans put bags of stuff they don't want on the side of the road and a other humans come along and take it. That worked for Buffcat because nine days out of ten, that is how he ate!
Up here in the mountains, there are fewer humans who come along and pick through your trash. I guess it's because there is more fresh meat and vegetables available and they don't have to eat each others leftovers. Unfortunately, that means the what ladygyrl and the old man don't use just piles up and starts to smell.
The old man is an active recycler which is where he sorts out all the stuff he and ladygyrl don't use into piles and then he brings the piles to other humans who need the stuff he isn't using. When he does that, there is actually a lot less rotting trash because the stuff that would rot, he buries like a good kitten.
