The Tabbitarium

LittleKit is have trouble adjusting to new cats.

It can be complicated bringing a new cat into the colony. The established cat or cats are going to react in many ways. Who is this tabby? Is it a threat? Hey! that's my food! bugger off! Oh look a new chew toy! who knows?

The fact is, mate, cats will have as many different ways of dealing with a new comer as there are cats in the house. Last night, I'm all curl up on the bed at LadyGyrl and the old mans feet. About 4 in the morning, I hear the old man stirring and lilkit has come into the room and plopped down almost on his face. "Rodent!", he mutters, "Get your furry butt out of my face!" and I had to laugh. "Do you know what time it is?" he asks and again I just start chuckling. "yeah, old man" I says to myself. "It's time to pet Lil Kat, Duh." So just as I am muttering this, you know he starts petting Kit!

"Jealousy would be far less torturous if we understood that love is a passion entirely unrelated to our merits."

So there we are, me curled up at his feet, Lil Kit practically on his face, we are both purring our brains out and the old man is stoking cat fur like a drummer doing a solo. After a time, the old man drifts off to sleep, and soon after that, Lil Kit does too. Lil Kit, for a moment is reassured that he is still loved even though ladygurl is spending a lot of time with the new arrivals.

Say it with me, Mates, "we loves ya, Lil Kit"
