How do I love thee? Let me count the days.
Just a romantic at heart, mates!,
You know it. I love Valentines day. I always like to start with a poem. It usually takes a little time. So I boil up some milk, sharpen a claw and uncork a well of my favorite purple ink.
I sit back and let my mind drift over all the good times Dulcie and I have shared. I remember nights on the town. Dancing till dawn. I lick my lips and reflect on her mom's special recipie for mousebeast. I close my eyes and picture the way her whiskers glisten when we share a bowl of milk by the fire on a cold winters night.

Then I think back to the first Valentines in 1382. I wonder what it would be like to be a famous poet like Geoffrey Chaucer. I dust off a favorite old book and read from it.
